Rhodes Port
We arrived at our eastern-most point, Rhodes, on December 30. The weather was still overcast with occasional rain but we were getting used to it. Old Rhodes within the city walls is a remarkable medieval city upon which modern tourism is overlaid. The old stones remain with cafe and store fronts added or inserted. Rhodes was variously controlled by christians, knights, muslims, and everybody else in the area.
View from the ship of the city wall along the edge of the port. Same wall from the other direction, heading back to the ship.
