On Christmas Eve, at dawn, we sailed into the port of Tanger (Tangier). We chose to take the tour because of safety - we were herded through the Casbah and the Medina with extra guides. Tanger has a reputation for pickpockets and other nasty people. Actually, Dave had his pocket picked twice on this trip (one tobacco pouch lost, the other found). We took few pictures in the city so we wouldn't fall behind. And pictures of the bus trip to the Caves of Hercules and Cap Spartel were lost - more on that in Seville. The interesting experience was dickering for prices on silk rugs in the Medina.
