After a 2+ hours drive by bus to from Malaga to Granada, we visited the Alhambra, a palace and summer residence for Moorish and then Christian rulers. We walked through the gardens of sculpted yew trees and fountains of Generalife and then the buildings in the Alhambra including the palace of Holy Roman Emporer Carlos V and the palace of moorish kings. We returned to Malaga just before the ship left harbor at sunset. Actually four passengers that had gone off on their own did't make it back to the ship that evening. That cost them a taxi ride to Gibraltar to catch up to the ship.
