The final transition

Steven J. Vaughan-Nichols reports in eWeek that Novell is now touting the release of OES 2, which adds 64-bit Xen-based virtualization, dynamic storage support, and Windows domain support, and(oh yeah) marks the final transition from Novell NetWare to SLES (SUSE Linux Enterprise Server).

I watched the vBrainshare session on OES 2 yesterday. It was a great session and they did confirm that the last time you will see NetWare 6.5 distributed outside of a VM is with the release of OES 2. What a sad time. I love NetWare. On the bright side, OES 2 did look VERY impressive. If they deliver on all of the promises it will be the catalyst to finally allowing us to migrate to Linux.
